Head of IT Security Systems

Working for our global blue chip client you will be responsible for the implementation and operational delivery for a number of services of the IT Security Strategy.
Delivery of this will be through the implementation of the policy, procedures, processes, systems, threat identification & response that provide IT security services and solutions for or on security infrastructure, internally and externally.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- You must have extensive IT and data network experience gained at senior level or have extensive experience gained at senior level in a commercial environment, both with a proven track record in security.
- Extensive experience of stakeholder management and influencing skills, at board level, dealing with complex issues.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of risk management.
- Recognised practicioner in Security Management, network and inforamtion security and people security.


You will provide strong leadership for a multi-disciplined, multi-national team of security professionals and managersand for developing and managing plans, budgets and resource for monitoring, maintaining and improving the integrity of the organisation's security information processes and systems and ensure the delivery of a world class professional services work package delivery organisation focused on the delivery of security implementation and engineering services for Managed security services and the management of the supporting security management toolset.

Your role/responsibilities/accountabilties will include:

- Leadership of a team of up to 60 global Security Engineers and Systems Consultants
- Use of Key Performance indicators and metrics to demonstrate Service delivery and capacity and Utilisation of the resources in the team.
- Weekly and monthly reporting showing highlights and lowlights from team, Resource Utilisation, Key projects and situations to watch.
- Capability and skills development of the team for current and impending projects
- Dynamic management of resourcing and priorities to match skills to client requirements and project dates.
- Accountable for Senior escalations and urgent resourcing requests for implementation.
- Delivery of extra capacity and new capability into the impss platform using IMPSS skills available
- Define a strategic plan for the ISecurityplatform which aligns Data Centre strategy and Security growth and expansion aspirations.
- Responsible for development of a "Professional Services" capability for third party vendor solutions

- Lead a global capability able to deliver 24x7 in any region with a variety of technologies and skills
- Responsible for communicating and mobilising the aspects of the IT security strategy pertinent to the services they deliver internally and externally, including the awareness of the cost of security failure and people's personal responsibilities.
- Define and translates the IT and/or Network Security strategy and policy into actionable programmes, processes, operations and architectural solutions for that support the business aims and takes into account risks and appropriate legal, regulatory constraints.
- Key member of the Security Management Team taking a leading role in representing their field of expertise and function and responsible for identifying risks and influencing the direction of IT Security strategy and policies.
- Responsible for the delivery and operations of security services that influences and/or provides the overall security infrastructure for customers.
- Responsible for the investigation, resolution and where necessary reporting of potential or actual breaches of protective security compliance.

Typically qualified to degree level, or equivalent professional experience and/or with recognised qualifications.
Desirable - CISSP, IISP or similar professional qualification.
